And we all know that in winter it’s crucial to have that source of power at a moment’s notice.

Bleeding radiators, increasing the boiler pressure and boiler leaks.

Common issues related to boilers we deal with all the time range from bleeding radiators and helping to increase water pressure that’s gone too low, to issues such as hot water but with no heating. Sometimes boiler leaks are an issue, this is usually down to something like a faulty pressure valve or a pump seal. Where hot water is concerned it could also be a broken diaphragm - and yes those things do exist in a boiler as well as the human body!

Combi boilers and hot water/no heating issues.

Combi boilers can often suffer with hot water but no heating issue, and we of course advise that should you come across that problem yourself to contact a gas safety registered engineer. Here at Hometech Heating & Plumbing we are all Gas Safe registered so your home is always in safe hands.

Water pressure issues.

You can easily learn how to sort out your own water pressure, as the problem is usually that it’s simply too low. However, if you don’t feel equipped to deal with this yourself, you’re unfamiliar with your boiler, or you just don’t feel confident enough - get in touch and we can send someone round to take a look.

No heat, no hot water.

Sometimes we find that there’s no heating AND no hot water - which is’t good news during cold weather.  The problems that are causing this could be anything from electric or gas power supply, problems with the thermostat, frozen pipes or the pilot light has gone out. That’s why it’s always important to only call out a gas safety registered engineer to diagnose the problem. Any errors left in the hands of the inexperienced and you could be looking at a house fire or even an explosion.
